Statement of Faith

  • Scriptures

The Scriptures, both Old and New Testament are a part of the Holy Bible. The Bible is written by men divinely inspired (both verbally and plenary). The Holy Bible is God-breathed, infallible, and without error. The Bible is completely sufficient to be used for daily instruction, to test everything, and is perfect instruction to live by. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) (1 Thessalonians 2:13)

  • God

There is one true, living God. God exists eternally in three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three are worthy of all praise and equal in attributes, perfection, glory, and co-eternally existing. (Isaiah 44:6) (Deuteronomy 6:4) (1 Corinthians 8:6)  (John 10:30)

The Lord Jesus Christ became a man (still being fully God) through the conception of the Holy Spirit and the virgin birth of Mary. He came so that he may redeem sinners and reveal God. Our redemption was accomplished through the work of Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life and voluntarily gave up His life on the cross. After being crucified, He rose (bodily) on the third day which proved Himself to be fully God in the flesh. The Lord has risen and is now standing at the right hand of God. (Luke 1:26-28) (Philippians 2:6-8 ) (John 17:25-26) (John 12:44-50) (1 Peter 2:22) (John 10:15) (1 Peter 2:24) (1 John 2:2) (Romans 8:34)

  • Creation

As stated in Genesis, the entire universe was created by God in 6 (full) days. Adam and Eve were real people created by God. The fall of men through the sin of Adam and Eve was an event.

  • The Fall of Men

God created man in His own image and likeliness, however, sin entered the world through one man (Adam’s sin). Through this, mankind has inherited a sinful nature and is entirely depraved and spiritually dead. Due to the way God created us in His likeliness, we have the capacity and the potential ability to know Him. (Genesis 1:27) (Romans 5:12) (Psalm 51:5)

  • Salvation & Eternal Security

Salvation is through grace and faith alone (not works-based). Through such grace, we are led to repentance. Salvation is completed through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit and we are born again. We are justified and made righteous in the sight of God through Jesus our Lord and Savior. He is our defense. (Ephesians 2:8-9) (Acts 20:21) (Titus 3:5) (John 3:3) (John 1:12) (Romans 5:9)

No one or nothing can take away your salvation. Once you are a child of God you have salvation from then on and for eternity. (John 10:28) (John 3:16) (Romans 8:38-39)

  • Justification

Justification is the act of God that declares children of God (believers) righteous in the sight of Him. Justification is shown in the fruits of the believer, such as constant repentance, faith in Christ, and the work of sanctification. The righteousness of Christ is imputed to believers. (1 Corinthians 6:11) (Romans 5:18-19) (2 Corinthians 5:21)

  • The Church

The church is a body of believers or people who have trusted and put their faith in Christ. Christ is to be the head of the church and the church is the bride of Christ. We believe the church is a vessel for God’s work to be done. In addition, for believers to utilize their spiritual gifts to build up the church. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13) ( Ephesians 5:22-33) (1 Peter 4:10–11)

  • Women in Ministry

Women are not permitted to teach in a pastor position or to teach men. However, women should be involved in serving the church through their spiritual gifts and sharing the gospel (as we are all commanded to do). In addition, women can disciple and teach women (i.e. women bible studies, women podcasts, etc.). (Corinthians 14:34-35) (1 Timothy 2:11-12) (Mark 16:15) (Titus 2:3-5)

  • Biblical Separation

We believe we should separate ourselves from the world not mirror it (to avoid bringing reproach to our Lord and Savior). Separating ourselves from worldly practices. (Romans 12:1) (1 John 2:15-17)
