31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31, KJV
1. How to Glorify God: Through Songs (Singing)
Glorifying God by singing praises is touched on throughout the Bible, specifically, in Ephesians 5:19. Singing hymns and praises were heavily touched on in Psalms considering the fact that David was a musician. Despite the circumstances (whether good or bad), praise was given to the Lord. (Psalms 108:1)

2. How to Glorify God: Through Keeping His Commandments
Glorifying God obviously would embody love. As lovers of Him, we work every day to improve and continue obeying His commands. This is just one of the ways you can take active action to glorify Him as we glorify Him both through thought and action (John 14:15).
3. How to Glorify God: Prayer
Through prayer, our focus becomes stronger and greater on God. Not only are we talking to our heavenly father (focusing on communicating and building our relationship), but we confess our sins to Him. All of these things are crucial for Christians. It continues to bring focus on the fact that we need God and that we can come to Him with anything despite circumstances. We can reflect on the many occurrences where someone in the Bible was praying to God and how essential it was within the process of glorifying God.
I highly highly recommend The Necessity of Prayer. It is a powerful book that goes so deep into the importance of prayer (it’s insanely good).
4. How to Glorify God: Eat Well, Exercise, Self-Care, etc.
There is nothing much else to say about how to glorify God through the body. This verse sums it up beautifully…
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's
1 Corinthians 6:19-20, KJV
5. How to Glorify God: LOVE (Serving Others)
Loving others is not only a command (which ties into number 2), but it is a beautiful representation of several things. First, being loving points back to God, glorifying Him. In addition, love provides a beautiful representation of Christ (John 15:12). Loving others can involve several things, such as:
Providing Encouragement & Prayer for Others
Providing services (giving a ride, cooking, giving financially, volunteering, etc.)
Being patient, kind, humble, selfless, honest (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
6. How to Glorify God: Through Your Work
Glorifying God through hard work and dedication to anything you do is powerful!
Remember when you don’t want to do something or maybe feeling lazy, meditate on this verse.
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colossians 3:23, KJV
7. How to Glorify God: Through Sharing the Gospel
Again, it goes back to following His commands. We are commanded to share the saving message (Matthew 28:18-20). Not only should we share it, but joyfully share it as we want everyone to be saved and become free from sin rather than be a slave to it.
If you are struggling to share the gospel or what new ways to share it, check out this post all about how to share the gospel creatively and simply.
8. How to Glorify God: Through Being Faithful During Persecution & Suffering
Being faithful during times of persecution is another way to bring glory and honor to Christ as stated in Romans 8:17.
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Romans 8:17, KJV
9. How to Glorify God: Through Speech
A beautiful representation of glorifying God through speech when David was in the desert of Judah (Psalm 63:3).
@FaBarboza
10. How to Glorify God: Through Fasting
Fasting is one way to worship and (again) express your need for God. These things point back to God and glorify Him through your actions. Luke 2:37 is a reflection on how this is a method of worship through the example of the widow.
11. How to Glorify God: Through Faith
Glorifying through faith may be one of the most challenging things, but it is truly glorifying and essential. I always reflect on Proverbs 3:5-6. Living with this kind of faith pleases God and further glorifies Him. An example of this is in Romans 4:20-21. A beautiful representation of Abraham’s circumstances and His faith.
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Romans 4:20-21, KJV
12. How to Glorify God: By Being Content
Being content in God despite the circumstances and in everything is not only crucial but brings glory to His name. Being content is a part of faith as you are not phased by the current circumstances rather you are content in every season of life 1 Peter 1:7.
@AlexandreDebiève
13. How to Glorify God: Through Giving the Credit All to Him
Acknowledging everything in a thankful way is another beautiful way to glorify Him. Not boasting in yourself but in Him! : )
31 So that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:31
14. How to Glorify God: Through Producing the Fruits of the Spirit
Glorifying God through good fruits is an actionable way to glorify God. When we produce good fruits or fruits of the spirit we represent Christ in a positive light and reflect His love.
15. How to Glorify God: Through Your Talents & Spiritual Gifts
Want to glorify God…use your spiritual gifts to edify the church. Edifying the church is crucial. To put it in perspective, the Bible describes the church as Jesus’s bride. In addition, you can use other talents to glorify Him. Whether you make art, design, blog, do social media, play music, sing, and so much more you can use these gifts to share the gospel. : )
