@Artemkovalev

Are you currently waiting on something in your life? Have you constantly been in prayer about something and it hasn’t happened yet? Whatever this thing, person, opportunity, or circumstance may be here is a little reminder of trusting God's timing. This is a simple reminder of God's word for the Christians currently in a waiting season.

Embrace the Season God has you In

First, remind yourself that there is a season for everything. As Ecclesiastes states in chapter 3 there is a time and place for everything. A season or time for everything. A season of waiting, a season of harvest, a season of war, a season of heavy labor, a season of singleness, etc.

While you are in your season of waiting remember you will not always be in this season. Enjoy this season and work on the things God has instructed you to work on. Just because you may be waiting on something does not mean we should be complacent. Reviewing this scripture and short video on the seasons we go through further reflects to the concept of a time and a place for everything (the season you are in is a part of God's plan for you).

Ecclesiastes 3, KJV

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. 9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? 10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. 11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. 12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. 13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. 14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. 15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. 16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there. 17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? 22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Some Truths To Give You Peace in Your Season of Waiting

Remember: God Directs Your Path

During this time you may be relying on or creating future life plans. However, remember that no matter how much you plan God is in full control. (James 4:13-17) (Proverbs 16:9). It may be a hard pill to swallow because we often believe we know best. However, it’s important to reflect not only on the fact that God’s thoughts and plans are higher than yours, but reflect on the things you wanted and how God did not allow them to happen (Isaiah 55:8-9). How grateful are you that He redirected your path for the better?

Remember: Do Not Focus on Tomorrow

Staying in the present is crucial. When we focus on the future constantly we affect not only our progression in the season we are in, but our prayer life. Recently, I was reviewing The Necessity of Prayer by E.M. Bounds and it highlighted a beautiful point on prayer and focusing on the future. “Faith lived in the present and regards the day as sufficient unto the evil thereof…when we pray, “give us this daily bread”, we are, in a measure, shutting tomorrow out of our prayer. We do not live in tomorrow but in today. We do not seek tomorrow’s grace or tomorrow’s bread.”

Instead of focusing on tomorrow thank God for today and what He has blessed you with. Your faith will remain strong by living in the present and you will grow spiritually.

Remember: God Works for the Good of Those who Love Him

No matter the negative emotions you are feeling in this time of uncertainty remember God’s plan for you (Romans 8:28). According to His purpose, all things work out for the good of those who love Him.

Remember: Wait Quietly and Patiently

While waiting remain patient and quiet. Don’t make decisions outside of God’s will because of desperation. Waiting on the Lord and staying the course of the Lord will not only reap a harvest but build your relationships with Him and bring peace and joy (Galatians 6:7-9)(Lamentations 3:25-26) (Psalm 37:7).

Remember: Trust in Him & Submit to His Plan for your Life

A hard verse to live by, but gives you so much peace when you follow it is Proverbs 3:5-6. You cannot speed up God's timing nor can you change it. When you come to this realization and trust in God’s plan for you it will give you peace indescribable. Didn’t get the job you wanted? That relationship didn’t work? All of those closed doors and seasons of waiting are all according to God's hand. Nobody can change the plan God has for you.

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6, KJV

Stay the Course

In your season of waiting encouragement and a reminder of who God is is vital. Focusing on key aspects, such as reflecting on your season, focusing on the present, waiting patiently, trusting God, and knowing His promises to His children will make you even stronger.
